About Genesis Table

Genesis Table is real-time Texas Hold'em for the browser. Play the computer straight away, or open a table, send the link to friends and play together. Play money only. No real-money gambling.

What it is

• A desktop in the browser. A lobby window and up to four poker windows at once, each with its own table, buttons and status bar. A taskbar flashes the table where it is your turn. On a phone, each window fills the screen.
• No-Limit and Fixed-Limit Hold'em, 2 to 10 players, with a bet slider and Min, ½ Pot, Pot and All-in buttons at No-Limit tables, and advance actions (FOLD, CALL, CALL ANY, RAISE, RAISE ANY) everywhere.
• Practice against the computer: heads-up, six-handed or a full ring, running entirely in your browser.
• Play with friends at real-time tables: press Join to be seated with whoever is playing, or open a table and share its invite link. Chips are free play money.
• A provably fair shuffle: every deck is committed before the deal and checked by your own browser afterwards. How it works.
• Hand replays with win percentages, and a weekly Hall of Fame of the biggest pots and the worst bad beats.

How it is built

Each table is its own small stateful server at the network edge: it deals, runs the betting clock and keeps the hand history. A lobby server pushes the table list to every open lobby over a single sleeping WebSocket. Pages, scripts and invite links are static files served without running any server code. The same poker engine runs the practice bots in your browser, the multiplayer tables on the server and the replay that checks every hand.

Play money only

Chips have no value. Nothing can be bought, won, paid in or cashed out, and there are no wallets or accounts. Your screen name and a random player key are kept in your browser so a table recognises you when you reconnect.
